Twitter seems to be more of a social media site used to perpetuate an unhealthy cylce of exploitation in people's personal lives.
Yes, Twitter is great for networking. But is it really that great for our personal lives? Celebrities seem to get the worst end of it. But they are also contributing to their own exploitation.
This is what happens - a paparazzi creep with go too far to get a photo of a celebrity in a private place, the celebrity will angrily tweet about it, E! or Fox or some other media outlet will get a hold of it, use it for a news report and the celebrity may respond back. That unhealthy cycle will keep going for as long as the media and person involved are willing to comment and for as long as the public is willing to listen until bored.
There are many other instances in which this type of situation may occur. Twitter is still fairly new and I can't help but feel it does more bad than good.
I'm a bit frightened for what future social media outlets will produce in our society and throughout the world.
