Master Sommelier and Winemaker Richard Betts appears in Santa Barbara
for a special appearance to discuss his new book, The Essential Scratch and Sniff Guide to Becoming a Wine Expert: Take a Whiff of That, in Santa Barbara. In the first book of its kind, Betts teaches how to scratch and sniff one’s way to expertise by introducing the basic components of wine—the fruits, the wood, the earth—and making it easy for the beginner to discover the difference between a Syrah and a Sangiovese and get the glass they love every time. Joining Betts is Brian McClintic, Master Sommelier, star of SOMM, and managing partner of Les Marchands Wine Bar & Merchant. Betts will be on hand to sign books and McClintic will present a selection of My Essential Wines, produced by Betts, for tasting.
