Having decided to enter the UCLA oncology Clinic on August 31 lifted our spirits.....it just felt like a safe place to be. Patty was fortunate on Tuesday evening not to get sick during the 4 hour intravenous introduction of carboplatin and paclitaxil (chemo). Since projectile vomiting, 30' seas-type nausea, hot and cold sweats and overall bodily misery is standard fare for most, she remains lucky.
The next 7 days will determine whether it's necessary to remain on this treatment or move to Plan B.
