A number of friends who know I live to eat have recently forwarded me the latest SB deal for Seagrass. They also know I love eating at Seagrass. So I thought I'd post a few notes about this.
First, yes, Seagrass has been a favorite dinner spot of mine lately. Their seasonal dishes are rocking my world, like the soft shell crab, while ye olde dependables like the spaghetti with bottagra are not only awesome, but well priced.
Second, please do buy the deal, using City2's link for it. This website doesn't fund itself, but mainly through advertising. That can be through direct advertising, or through affiliations where City2 earns a commission. I actually bought one of those a while back, for spa treatments and I'm now a customer of that spa, so all the benefits of using that advertising method ended up being a true win-win.
The dealio is that you have to use the City2 affiliate link so that the deal purchases can be properly credited to this site. This is the link.
Third, want to see some pictures of awesome foodz at Seagrass? Cuz I have them.
This is the awesome spaghetti and bottagra. What is bottagra? It's the "cashmere of fish," the dried roe of mullet. It's very good. It's $12.
This is the pork cheek, with baked polenta and onions and saucy things and foam stuff. Pork cheeks! Yes, it's delicious.
I'm not sure if you can handle this, but it buttery soft braised pork belly, green beans, beluga lentils, ramps, duck jus. oh DAMN. I loved the plating on this one, too.
Soft shell crab I had two weeks ago, for $14. Very seasonal, and very good.
I also had this pork belly with caramlized unagi on top, and it was also $14.
Seagrass changed ownership hands last November, the people currently running it are preparing pretty amazing food, and it does not have a steep price tag for what you're getting.
Anyway, if you're thinking about getting this deal, think about supporting City2. If you're reading this, you're already on the site. Just saying!
Thanks, y'alls. Maybe I'll see you there sometime soon.
