Eric Rindal's most recent work includes altered book covers and drawings and works on paper and wood.
As local artist and photographer, Rindal has spent the last five years in Santa Barbara. For him, the city has been both an idyllic vacation town and a habitation to make a daily living. Santa Barbara has been his intimate subject. Surrounded by the extreme wealth and beauty of this city, his work explores postmodern questions of purpose and meaning. With forceful candor he asks, "Why?" Instead of dwelling in frustration, he moves beyond, and imagines the world: his past, present and future, as it ought.
Eric's love for travel and passion for microfinance will take him to Sierra Leone next month, with the non-profit Kiva.Org. Sales and proceeds will help finance his time there.
