Inside Wine Santa Barbara is pleased to showcase the award-winning wines of winemaker and proprietors Larry and Karina Hogan of Sagebrush Annie's Winery.
I first tasted their wine at the Santa Barbara Natural History Museum's Santa Barbara Wine Festival. I ran into Sommelier Antonio Gerli at the event and asked him what wines he found the best. He sent me right over to Sagebrush Annie's.
Their Cabernet Sauvignons have won many Double Gold Medals, Best-in-Show and more accolades from international wine competitions, including in 2004 where Sagebrush Annie’s was the only Double Gold at the San Francisco Wine Competition. Besides Cabs, Larry makes terrific Merlot and Zinfandel, and grows Grenache, Syrah, Petit Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc. Some of his small-lot wines are available only through allocation, but we will have the chance to taste a range of Sagebrush Annie wines--a real treat and opportunity.
The talented student chefs of the School of Culinary Arts at SBCC will create the appetizers, served in the Gourmet Dining Room.
