Spent a few weeks away from the old mouse-hole. Missed my little meese. Luckily they came out to where I was vacationing, two-by-two. A little cheese, napping in the nest together. Life is good in the old m-o-U-S-A. Looking forward to new families, mouselettes, some-day. Life can be hard for mice these days. Everyone is cutting back. fewer crumbs, not as much food tossed out by the large mammals that live near our hole.
Mouse culture can be very hard. Young mice and poor mice don't have the mouse-care they need, and the Rodents in Power only care that they "have theirs". The common mouse be damned. Lots of mice in the streets with no place to live. We could use a Transition-Mouse-House for those who need a place for the winter, and support while they look for jobs and a regular place to live.
Change comes hard and slow, but we mice must not give up. If the bi-ped, local mammals keep up their destructive ways, we mice shall over come some-day.
That's how it looks from down here!!
